Paul Rivard, Shop Supervisor - Willington
Paul has been with Eastrock since 1994 and is the foundation of our technical support operation in the North Eastern USA. Paul has a vast amount of experience with Furukawa drills and especially in construction applications. |
Stéphane Lapointe, Shop Supervisor - Ottawa
Stéphane has been on the Eastrock team since 2003 and a certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic for over 10 years. Stéphane supervises the day-to-day shop operations. He is excellent with hydraulics and specializes in electronics. Stéphane also has certified training in lathe and millwork. Stéphane is cautious and thoughtful in his work he won’t allow anything to leave the shop until he’s certain it is fixed right…the first time. |
Sébastien Guenette, Mobile Service Technician - Ottawa
Sébastien brings his skills as a welder and fabricator to the team. Sébastien has thousands of hours of experience repairing mining and construction equipment and takes pride in everything he does. Sébastien can be counted on to use a common sense approach to come up with creative and innovative solutions.

Stéphane Lalonde,
Mobile Service Technician - Ottawa. It has been over 18 years since Stéphane started his career as a Heavy Truck mechanic. Since then he has acquired extensive and varied experience most recently working on many types of rock drills for a major drilling & blasting contractor.

Hans Palaisy, Service Technician Apprentice – Ottawa
Hans has successfully completed all the requirements for Heavy Equipment Technician Diploma from the University of Guelph. He is currently sharpening his skills and gaining the experience required by the apprenticeship program.

Jean Demers, Service Technician – Ottawa
Jean graduated from the Trades Qualification program in 1995 and has been working as an Equipment Mechanic since then. Jean joined Eastrock in September 2007 and has become the core of our Ottawa shop operation.

Guy is a certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic and brings over 18 years of service to the job. Guy is based near Sudbury, Ontario to service the needs of our clients in the North and Central part of Ontario. Guy has experience with equipment from many industries as well as specialized training in hydraulics & pneumatics troubleshooting.

Mike brings an entire career of experience in the rock drilling industry to Eastrock. His career includes senior roles at Atlas Copco as well as 15 years as Director for Furukawa’s North American rock drilling company.

Michel began his career as a heavy equipment mechanic and later became a specialist in the repair and maintenance of drilling equipment of all types. With this mechanical background and cheerful attitude Mike has a wide range of skills to bring to our team.
