The VISUALIM 4G is a “smart” display unit using data bus technology CAN (Controller Area Network) and allowing to display, in standard, the Depth/Instantaneous Advancing Speed (IAS) as well as “2D” and “3D” pitch tilt (X,Y +/- 45° with compensation relative to a reference Z azimuth).
This new bus technology for ground data enables an easy evolution in number and nature of the sensors located above the display unit (Depth/Speed, “2D” and “3D” tiltmetry, laser sensor, total station, GPS...).
Moreover, the installation and aftersales of this instrumentation is made easy by the connecting sensors and display unit which are now serially disposed instead of being in “star” (i.e just one measurement cable going to the display unit instead of x measurement cables for x parameters)
The VISUALIM 4G can be set up on any type of rig with a cabin.
The VISUALIM 4G lets you display, in real time, on a back-lit LCD display with 4 lines of 20 characters of 8 mm high, the following:
* the latest depth of drilling within centimetre dimensioned and displayed to 999.99 metres.
This information can be given in length drilled or in real depth corrected by the tilting chosen.
* the position of the tool in the drill within centimetre dimensioned and displayed to 999.99 metres.
* the Instantaneous Advancing Speed (touched up every centimetre) or the Commercial Advancing Speed (for the whole hole) in m/mn.
* the pitch tilt X,Y +/- 45° “2D” or “3D” with compensation relative to a reference azimuth.
* the sum of drilled metres between two zeroing within centimetre dimensioned and displayed to 9999 metres.
* the sum of drilled metres from the device installation (accumulated metres drilled by the machine) within centimetre dimensioned and displayed to 999.9 kilometres.
The correction of X,Y angles in relation with a relative direction determined as a site reference is ensured using an on-board aimer installed in the cabin of the machine and associated with a “boom encoder” that indicates the displacements of the boom support. Compensation is the sum of the two angles measured by the aimer (machine displacement) and the “boom encoder”(displacement of the drilling boom support).
On request, other measurements are possible like the Z position display by laser or by direct way, X,Y,Z within 5 centimetres through a motorized total station or through a GPS system.
The VISUALIM 4G is multilingual (French and English)
Its small size (16 x 18 x 8cm) and its reduced weight (< 1kg) make the VISUALIM 4G a product adaptable on every kind of cabins even exiguous.
Measurement features : * Instantaneous Advancing Speed (IAS) : 0-50 m/mn within a m/mn accuracy. * Tiltmetry of mast (X,Y) : +/- 45° relative to the vertical within a 1/10° accuracy. * Aimer : +/- 90° within a 1/10° accuracy. * Boom encoder : +/- 45° within a 1/10° accuracy. * Depth : 655 metres within centimetre accuracy.
